These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the LensPlate mobile application (the "Service"), operated by LensPlate (the "Company"). By using the Service you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the Service.

LensPlate is free to use. It has no subscription, no in-app purchases and no ads. If we ever offer optional paid features, they will be clearly marked in the app, priced before you buy, and these terms will be updated first.

Subscriptions from version 1.0. Earlier versions sold subscriptions billed through your Apple ID, with Apple as the merchant of record. They renew until you cancel them in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

LensPlate helps you log food and follow calorie and macro targets. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. LensPlate is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.

Daily targets are estimates calculated from the information you provide, and food data can be incomplete or wrong. Consult a healthcare provider before starting a diet or making significant changes to how you eat, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or have a history of disordered eating. The Company is not liable for injury or adverse health effects resulting from use of the Service.

Packaged products come from Open Food Facts, a free collaborative database. Its data is available under the Open Database License (ODbL), and product images under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike. Everyday foods use nutrient data from USDA FoodData Central.

Product information and scores can be incomplete or wrong. Check the label on the package when it matters, for example for allergies.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Use the Service to build a competing dataset or scrape its content.
• Interfere with the Service or place an unreasonable load on it.
• Add content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others.

You own the data you add to LensPlate, such as your diary, your own foods and your saved meals. You grant the Company the limited license needed to store, process, and show that content back to you — that is, to operate the Service as described in the Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete your content or your account. You can export your diary at any time in the app (Account → Export my diary).

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app (Account → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription from version 1.0 — cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid the Company in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 USD if you haven't paid anything.

In no event is the Company liable for special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

We may revise these terms; the date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
